A gentle breeze cooled her face, and soft grass tickled her legs and arms.
Shifting as consciousness trickled back, the redhead tried to open her eyes and focus her vision.
Bright blue sky was overhead, rimmed by wild green leaves, was overhead, and Corry was confused.
'Trees? We were in the middle of open water…'

Leaning against the large truck meant to transport them to the pier, Corry shielded her eyes as she looked towards the street.
Her bag was dropped on the driveway beside her, and she fidgeted slightly as she grew impatient.
Mimi was at ease, standing with her bag over her shoulder and Ash sitting by her side playing with her toy quietly.
Vee was sitting on top of the truck, holding her cowgirl hat in place and staring at the clouds.

Eyes half-lidded and staring at the ceiling, the redhead sighed as she caught the over-sized sphere.
Posters of baseball stars completely swallowed one wall, while the one perpendicular held her trophies and pictures.
At the foot of her puny twin bed was a worn desk, bearing a weakening desk lamp and her tattered bag.
The walls were painted a dark grey, and the floor was made of usually-freezing wood.
